| call number blocking
Prevents your number from being displayed by the Caller ID of the party you are calling.
To Use Call Blocking:
- Once you contact Customer Service to activate your Caller ID Blocking it is automatically turned on for all of your calls.
To Cancel Call Number Blocking:
- Dial *82, or 1182 from a rotary phone, before each call to change the indicator form private to public.
Note: 911 Services are not affected by Caller ID Blocking. To permanently deactivate this service, you must contact your local telephone Customer Service Representative. If you choose not to subscribe to this option, you may also activate this on a per call basis for no charge. To activate dial *67, or 1167 from a rotary phone.
