call forward remote access

If you have one of the Call Forwarding features, Call Forward Remote Access allows you to activate the feature from any touch-tone phone.

To Activate Call Forwarding:

1. Listen for the dial tone.
   
   
2. Dial the dedicated access number provided by the Telephone Company
   (434-656-9998 or 434-324-9998).
   
   
3. Listen for line to ring, then wait for the special dial tone.
   
   
4. Press *72, or 1172 from rotary phone.
   
   
5. Dial the number to which calls will be forwarded. The call does not have to be answered in order for Call Forwarding to be accessed.
   
   
6. Two beeps indicate your Call Forwarding has been activated.
   
   
7. Hang up.

To Deactivate Call Forwarding:

1. Listen for the dial tone.
   
   
2. Dial the dedicated access number provided by the Telephone Company
   (434-656-9998 or 434-324-9998).
   
   
3. Listen for line to ring, then wait for the special dial tone.
   
   
4. Press *73, or 1173 from rotary phone.
   
   
5. Two beeps indicate your Call Forwarding has been activated.
   
   
6. Hang up.
